I’m keeping shipping prices low!

As you know Royal Mail have hiked their prices, with smallest packets taking the biggest hit (a huge 71% increase in the cost of sending 100g packets). We also have an awkwardly complicated system in the UK which is not based only on weight, but also the dimensions of the packet.

Rather than raise prices or charge a flat rate I want to keep postage and packing as low as possible but still recover my costs for postage, time and materials, To this end, I have changed the shipping charges only slightly and changed the way I package some products.

Some small items whcih can be sent by large letter post will now have a LOWER packing charge of just £ 1.99. These items include most Camera batteries and single 127 films which are packaged in small boxes such as my Efke 127 film and MacoColor UCN 127 film.

The basic price for my shipping within in UK or Europe for most other items is just £ 2.99 if the total weight is under 700g (UK) or 300g (EU). This covers most purchases. For large packages over 700g it will cost £4.99 for postage and packing. All items will now be sent First Class Post in the UK.

This is the best I can do to keep Postage and Packing prices as low as possible for you. I’m sure you’ll agree that these prices are very reasonable considering how expensive Packet Post has become in the UK.
